Jackson joined the DB Group in June 2018 and is based at our Griffith offices. Jackson was born and raised in Hay, New South Wales. He grew up on a farm producing irrigated summer & winter crops, as well as a livestock enterprise. He had an interest in agriculture from a very young age due to the influence of his upbringing & as a result, completed a Certificate 3 in Agriculture & Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga, graduating in 2017.
Prior to joining the DB Group, He held a management position with a farming enterprise in the Riverina, based in Griffith. In this role, he gained experience in a broad range cropping systems, both in commercial production and specialist seed production, growing crops such as canola, cotton, rice, carrots & onions.
He completed the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation Rice Industry Emerging Leaders course in 2018. He is now the President of the Hay branch of the Ricegrowers Association of Australia and has been his local delegate to the Ricegrowers Association Central Executive Board for a number of years.
Jackson’s role with the DB Group is as a Sales Agronomist, performing the Farm Services Consultant role for Pioneer Seeds Australia in the “Southern NSW” territory; and delivering technical and on farm support to farmers and extension services.
