Matthew has been involved in agricultural sector for over 20 years. After attending Yanco Agricultural High he completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (Honors) at Sydney University. Joining Westpac and then Rabo Bank Matthew held the position of Agribusiness Manager in both Albury and Wagga for 9 years. In 2000 he was married to Samantha and they now have two children. In 2001 Matthew and Samantha purchased property in close proximity to his parents at Merriwagga and in 2002 purchased and moved to “Felix Farm” Ariah Park and have been operating the property there since that time.

Matthew manages "Felix Farm" for the DB Group, being responsible for input procurement, contractor facilitation, financial control, budgeting and the completion of day to day operations on the property at Ariah Park. In addition to completing the financial control and administration for the group.

He has continued his families business principals of conservation farming integrated with livestock. In addition to diversification into “non farming” businesses with the commencement of Griffith Feed & Grain in 1996 with Peter (father). The integration of new technology into farming and commercial operations and providing additional financial capacity has allowed Matthew to add great value to the business.In addition to completing on farm works Matthew has continued involvement with industry presenting to grower and industry groups on the corporate and operational structure of the DB Group. He is a former director of FarmLink Research Ltd and president of the Mirrool Creek Grower group, and is still an active member and co-operator in both groups.
